One dude is spillin’ the dirt diary about his product launch strategy on our coaching call yesterday. He spent the last 2 months building out a huge marketing funnel. And now, with the latest Facebook Intent marketing strategy (I’ve been talking about lately)… …he’s about to pull the plug on all the work he did. Here’s why I’m telling you this. You DON’T need everything in place before you launch.

All it takes is this product launch strategy:

Launch – Listen – Adjust. THIS framework is why I can create so much stuff without wasting effort on anything that doesn’t work… …or something I toss away. One of my very first coaches let me in on the ‘Big Secret’: get the front-end working first – BEFORE working myself to death, building out the back-end. Because he knew I’m a perfectionist. I wanted the ENTIRE product launch strategy set up so I wouldn’t ‘lose’ anyone. And I see this same thinking with 90% of the people online today.

This perfection to procrastination yo-yo syndrome leads to only one thing:

NOTHING. Whenever I'm in this yo-yo, I try to perfect and make sure I won’t make a mistake. Until my coach told me his story. He locked himself away for 2 solid weeks to build a marketing funnel to perfection. When it was finally ready, he launched it. Nobody opted in. It was a disaster. Which simply means, nobody wanted the FRONT-END offer. It also means all the back-end automation, emails and fancy stuff went to the chopping block.

He’ll never get back all the hours he put in.

Just imagine if he simply put up an opt-in page, and started sending traffic. Within a day or two, he would know (in this case) it was a flop. Because the market was ‘speaking’ to him; “We don’t want this.” BTW, that’s the ‘listen’ piece of the product launch strategy. To my knowledge, from that day forward he started using the launch, listen & adjust framework. And I’m sharing it with you, because YOU don’t need everything in place either.

You don’t need to fall into the perfection trap.

Whenever you have a front-end lead magnet, offer or whatever it is… …put it out there and make sure it works!   RELATED: How are you finding new customers?   From my experience, 80% of it will fail.
