Do you want a better life?

Do You Want A Better Life?

~ begin transcript~

Everyone “wants” something…right?

I haven’t met anyone yet who doesn’t “want” a better life, or a new toy or more time and money, or whatever it is…

Here’s the thing – wanting is NOT enough.

Sure, you may have heard it before but I want to share three levels of “want” with you so you can start “getting” what you want.

The first level is just the idea…it’s where you are basically saying “yea, IF that [thing] fell into my lap, I’d take it.”

It means we’re doing nothing about it.

And THIS level is where most of the world lives.

Which brings us to…

…The Second Level

Where we actually CHOOSE to do something…

This is where a lot of us choose to sit in seminar rooms…

And when we leave, never take a second look at all the notes and promises we’ve made to ourselves and others again.

It’s where we buy a business or self improvement program…

Read the first chapter or watch the first video…

And fall back into our routine…

With the excuse there’s “no time for this right now.”

Come on, we’ve all done it –

I can turn around right now and easily pick out 25 books I’ve never read.

I look at the business improvement programs on my hard drive I’ve never completed…

Because I need to…

COMMIT

Which is the BEST level.

When we decide to commit to what we want, it means we’ll do anything to get it.

We don’t hold back on anything.

We step into the fear of failure, the fear of the unknown and the excitement of success.

The reason we are unsuccessful is the result of what is happening INSIDE, not outside.

And that means we have to change our internal programming…

How we think, feel and act.

And THAT simply means tuning into what we REALLY want and how we FEEL about NOT having it.

Now here’s a small side note:

I would advise you NOT to focus on what it is you DON’T want…

Whether you believe in the power of thought and how the universe reacts or not…

What have you got to lose by following the advice of so many successful people who choose and commit to ONLY focusing on what they WANT?

I think it was T. Harv Ecker who said “your way has gotten you where you are today”

These are the type of simple quotes I never forget and have allowed me to change my life as well as my business.

So which level are you at right now?

The want, choose or commit level?

You’ll know by looking at the world around you…

Because if it’s not what you want, I would suggest your mind is in the way right now…

Magic Customer Attraction Strategies

[PODCAST]  Magic Customer Attraction Strategies

~  begin transcript ~

Have you ever wondered why it’s difficult to ‘convince’ customers to buy from you?

Or maybe you’re just having challenges attracting new customers in the first place…

How much of your life would change if you didn’t have to ‘convince’ or ‘sell’ anyone anymore?

Well in today’s podcast I’m going to share customer attraction strategies that work like MAGIC – and I really think you’re gonna love it!

Before we dive in, I’d really love it if you gave this podcast a little boost with a cool rating on iTunes and share it with your friends…

This way we can impact the world together in a positive way so we help each other live the lifestyle of our dreams!

So let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work!!

Here’s a question…

How much of your business would change if people were automatically, magically, drawn to you…

Your products…

Your services?

Without any real effort on your part?

Sounds like I’m sprinkling fairy dust and about to sell you the “magical how-to” formula right?

We’ve heard it all before from speakers on stage…

Or some dude on a marketing video…

Who goes through all the steps of ‘selling from stage’…

They say all the right things…

They move the right way…

They ask for audience participation…

They dress for success…

Yet for some reason, we don’t buy their stuff…

We have that little feeling that something’s off.

The reason is this:

Our subconscious is picking up something we can’t really pin-point or make a concrete judgement from…

There’s just something that is not right.

What’s not right is the person doing the talking / selling…

They are NOT who they truly are.

Now that might sound a bit odd, but hear me out…

Because recently, I proved this theory by being something I’m not…

ON PURPOSE.

I figured – well, if THIS is how it’s (supposedly) done, then I’ll give it a try…

I’m talking about doing a presentation talk and then ‘selling from stage’

It’s not like I’ve never sold from stage before…

But I’ve NEVER followed the protocol of “how you’re supposed to do it”

So I ventured out and designed my presentation in the way it’s supposed to influence people to buy…

The results were disasterous –

IT WAS A COMPLETE BOMB.

How do I know “it” bombed and not the “product?”

Because I offered something that was basically FREE – I asked for $1 to TRY IT.

I know that you will NEVER get 100% of the room, but 10% for a $1 trial???

Seemed really odd.

Admittedly I’m a sucky salesperson from the get-go…so that had to contribute to something…

Secondly, when I was going through the pitch, I PERSONALLY FELT ODD…

Do you think the audience picked up on that?

Damn right they did…

In other words, they’re subconscious was telling them “this is not the REAL Joey”

And they were right…

Because I HATE selling – I really do.

I LOVE making people’s lives better, and to do that, sometimes I have to sell – whether it’s my coaching, or my products…whatever…

But here’s the difference –

When I sold before this experience, I sold from the heart – I did NOT go there with an intent to sell..

I went there to deliver information…

And if someone wanted MORE information and have personal help, I had something to ‘sell’ them.

Are you seeing the difference here?

Because this LAST time, I went there with an INTENT to sell…

And even though I was selling the same product as before, I was NOT ALIGNED with my CORE IDENTITY because I was ‘being a salesman’ …. which is something I really hate to do.

THAT’S why people didn’t buy.

And THAT’S possibly why people don’t buy from you…

It’s why you might have challenges in attracting new customers…

Because if you are not communicating from your CORE IDENTITY, you are being something you are not…

And the reality is you are trying to convince people of something you TRULY don’t believe in…

Even if your brain lies to you…

This might be some heavy stuff, but it’s truly the foundation of how to influence people without even trying.

When you are in tune with your CORE VALUES and identity…the SAME PEOPLE begin to follow you and genuine trust and like you.

THOSE are the customers I attract..

THOSE are the customers I really like – because they’re like me – we talk the same – I can BE who I am – say what I think – and they understand…

MORE importantly, I UNDERSTAND them!

So to end this piece, the most important piece is for you to identify what’s REAL to you.

If you’re a real estate agent, THAT’S NOT who you are…that’s your ‘SURFACE’ identity as Frank Kern would say.

I would look at the level below that…and find what truly matters to you.

THAT’S the ‘positioning’ you need to take.

WHAT YOU STAND FOR and what you believe is what attracts and repels people.

And this is what magic and effortless influence is all about.

3 steps to conquer fear of failure

At some point, we ALL worry about something going wrong…how do we deal with that constant “what if, and how do we conquer fear of failure?”

In this episode, high performance business breakthrough & lifestyle coach Joey Ragona shares how the highest achievers get past the negativity and keep moving. This is Joey Ragona talking from personal experience and sharing ideas and experiences from working with hundreds of coaching clients.

~ begin transcript ~

Every one of us worries at some point in our business.  What follows is collection of ideas from sources of information relating to how executives deal with it.

Many entrepreneurs are filled with worry and anxiety communicating they can’t focus, or make decisions; they feel their lives are in a standstill.

One of the worst things about worry and fear is that it destroys our ability to concentrate.

The first step is:

Ask in the most honest and fearless way: “what is the worst that could possibly happen as a result of this?”

The second step is:

Conditioning you to accept the worst that can possibly happen if necessary

It sounds like a cliché but so many people avoid ‘dealing’ with their circumstances and wallow in worry day in, day out.  Once you accept the worst that can possibly happen, then you’ll immediately feel a sense of peace because NOTHING is worse than what you’re now willing to accept.

People are caught up in the ‘what if’ avoiding the worst scenario so it makes their lives a living hell.  To me, that’s worse than accepting a possible outcome based on the facts.

I can only begin to tell you how many coaching clients I’ve helped using just THOSE TWO steps.

I ask what do you want?

And then, after listening to what they want, followed by the “what if’s”…

I asked “what’s the WORST that can happen?”

When they identify what that “worst” is…

My next question is “can you handle that?”

Third Step – which is most important

Begin calmly devoting your energy to improving on the worst possible scenario.

When you’ve accepted the worst, there’s nothing more to lose.

Fear and worries are very real and there are 3 basic steps you take in order to solve them:

1.    Get the facts

2.    Analyze the facts

3.    Make a decision – and then act on that decision

It’s very obvious but why is it that so many people go through their lives without solving their problems?

Here’s a few ‘history’ lessons:

Fear is created by negative thoughts, through a sort of ‘hypnotic pattern’ that we’re used to.

Most people are in this ‘default state’ and in order to change this, you must actively and consciously change the pattern.

Yea, it takes work – it takes effort – and that’s why most people don’t do it.

The person that sets their rhythm and thinks in terms of success & power attracts that into their lives.

At the same time, the person who thinks of failure, discouragement, poverty attracts THIS into their lives.

That is why success or failure is a RESULT of your habits.  Habit establishes thought which produces an automatic rhythm to attract what dominates your thoughts.  Think about it.

The more you think about poverty, like a magnet, you attract more of that fear and people that ‘get what you’re saying’ into your life.

Like attracts like.

This is a MAJOR reason I personally started “shutting people out” of my life back in 2007.

I didn’t need people who agreed the world sucked –

I needed people who saw the world differently than I did.

If you know what you want and are willing to pay the price refusing any substitute, the law of attraction takes effect and helps you by natural and logical means.

Again, this is why so many people fail.

It’s because they are unwilling to stick to what they want to belief.

And that’s a very important distinction; want to belief as opposed to simply believing!

Improve Email Marketing

Is Your Email Campaign Marketing Scaring People Away?

Email campaign marketing definitely has a lot of layers to it.

For many entrepreneurs, we’d like to “set it and forget it”.

I believe that a LOT can be done with regards to automation…

But at the same time, we really have to focus on building our customer list and using our email campaign marketing to our advantage…

What’s the right way?

What’s the wrong way?

How do I “know it’s working?”

All great questions…

And I’m sure there’s more..

The FIRST measurement for email campaign marketing…

…is ENGAGEMENT

Do your customers and prospects engage with your email marketing?

Here’s what I mean…

Engagement is when people OPEN you emails…

Engagement is when people CLICK stuff IN your emails…

Engagement is when people RESPOND and take an ACTION when you ASK them  in your emails.

In other words…

Your emails are not just going to their junk or ‘read later’ folder.

The BIG Email List Delusion

I don’t believe the money is in the “big list”…

I believe it’s in the RELATIONSHIP we have with our list…

Whether it’s 10 or 10,0000.

This is where I see so many people get steered in the wrong direction..

Building an email list of thousands of people will do you no good if you’re not offering what I call U.V.

That's UPFRONT VALUE.

And to a LOT of people in this email marketing business…

Think upfront value is a crappy template they got from their email provider or worse, their company directory (realtors – are you hearing me?)

Take a look at this pic

email marketing campaign google analytics

THIS is engagement.

It’s from a client project…

The spikes you see are days we are sending out U.V.

GREAT content…

Stuff people CARE about…

Do you notice anything else in that chart?

Yea – that’s right – consistency…

We are “training” the audience to open our emails…

Because they KNOW something GOOD is in there…

We’re NOT just sending “sales” and promotions.

Again – this is where most people get it wrong.

Because if you want people to buy from you…

They have to know that you UNDERSTAND them…

That you understand their problems…

That you CARE about their wants, desires and pains…

And not just contact them every time you want to line your pocket with cash..

I get it…

We ALL want to make money…

And our customers don’t mind if we make money…

WHEN we’ve provided value that means MORE to them than the money does…

What do you think? Let’s get a conversation going below!

TOP business failure causes: price competition

One of the TOP business failure causes is price competition. In this podcast episode, Joey Ragona talks about separating yourself from others without resorting to lowering your prices.

Top Business Failure Causes: Price Competition Podcast Episode #0013

~ begin transcript ~

In today's’ podcast I want to talk about business and pricing your service or product…

Are you a failure if you have to resort to low prices?

Anytime you have to compete on price, you’ve become a commodity – which means the market decides your value… not you.

The top reason a business have become a commodity business is because they haven’t carved out a specific niche to serve a specific problem…

A problem that is unmet in the market

In other words, you’re just like the next guy…

When I say “unmet”, it means that there are very few options for the customer … or a solution AT ALL.

We get caught up trying to serve the widest market as possible because we believe there’s more money in it.

But the opposite is true and we end up competing on price..

When you dial in and focus on a specific problem, this is where you make more money.

1 – because you become the specialist
2 – there’s very little or zero competition

Let’s take an example from my real estate rental business:

There’s tons of properties available for rent and everyone is competing on price…

So I went into the market decided on ONE type of home I would buy to rent….

Nothing ground breaking there…

But what set me apart was that I advertised “pet friendly”

When everyone else said “no pets”

That immediately rented my properties faster and for more money.

Can you see how you can easily separate yourself from the herd by offering a solution that someone wants and is looking for?

This is power positioning and it’s where you make more money without having to compete on price by serving a single specific market.

Now it’s your turn – what is a market or segment of the market you can serve that is uncluttered?
